SCHOLARSHIPS

THE UNIVERSITY OF WAIKATO

The Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship: This Scholarship is one of the University’s top scholarships. During their undergraduate degree, recipients receive up to $10,000 per year and are also offered a tailored leadership and personal development programme.  Recipients of this award excel in either a sport or creative/performing art, have high academic achievement and exhibit strong leadership qualities or potential.  This scholarship goes to De Vhante Marsters-Herewini.

The Te Paewai o Te Rangi Scholarship: This scholarship is for outstanding academic achievement and contributes to the University’s vision of achieving excellence, distinctiveness and international connectedness.  The scholarship provides up to $25,000 in the first three years of the student’s undergraduate studies.  This scholarship goes to Waiuhimaioha Paki.

Ko Te Tangata School Leaver Scholarship: This scholarship recognises the University’s strong connection and commitment to schools and communities within Aotearoa/New Zealand.  Recipients of the scholarship will be awarded to students who show academic readiness and strong community spirit and will receive $5,000 towards study.  There are two recipients of this scholarship and they are Kairirangi Edmonds & Ben Marsh.

Brian Smith Memorial Entrance Scholarship: Bachelor of business ($1000 for students enrolling in at least one accounting paper). Recipient – Aleesha Hickling


AUT SCHOLARSHIPS

The AUT Find Your Greatness Scholarship – School Leavers.  This is awarded for an all rounder and has a monetary value of $14,000.  This year this goes to Trelise Chappell.


UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND

 The University of Auckland’s Pacific Academic Excellence Scholarship comes with one year of accommodation in the University Hall of Residence plus $4,000.  This year it goes to Tiger Fong-Fitzpatrick.

The University of Auckland Top Achiever Scholarship for one year in the Hall of Residence plus $4,000 goes to Antonia Lloyd 


VICTORIA UNIVERSITY OF WELLINGTON TE HERENGA WAKA ENTRANCE  SCHOLARSHIPS:

 Victoria Tangiwai Scholarships This scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit, equity, leadership, and commitment to community This year the  recipients of the Victoria Tangiwai Scholarship worth $5,00 are: Isobel Christie, Eleanor Field, Rafael Hosking, Sophie Houghton

Totoweka School Leaver Scholarships are valued at $5,000 for the first year of study which can be put towards accommodation costs at a Victoria University of Wellington Hall of Residence, or as a stipend to contribute towards your first year living costs.  This year they go to: Te Rau O Te Huia Kouratoras, Aaliyah-Jade Michaels


UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS:

The University of Otago New Frontiers Excellence Entrance Scholarship to the value of $5,000 goes this year to Bella Tyrrell, Kristina Miles & Alice Naish

The University of Otago Māori Entrance Scholarships worth $13,000 there are three recipients this year: Mason Hedger, Kaiah Arona, Elysia Crossan.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship In recognition of academic ability and potential to succeed. Goes to Connie Murphy.
